Time Traveling to Pick Up MORE ACTIVATION Keys
This time, for our field trip, we are going to go back in time to the last supper that Jesus had with his disciples. He was sitting with them at the table and Judas has just been dismissed so only the 11 are with Jesus and he begins to tell them about what is getting ready to happen.
By now Peter has already been told that he would deny Jesus three times. It was something that Peter rejected. Jesus loved the Lord. Who wants to hear that they will deny someone that they love? Nevertheless, there is a special reason that we have taken a trip back to this day and time. There is something that we are there to pick up.
Let’s look into this conversation now:
John 14:2-6 New American Standard Bible
2 In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will take you to Myself, so that where I am, there you also will be. 4 And you know the way where I am going.” 5 Thomas *said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going; how do we know the way?” 6 Jesus *said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
Jesus said that in his Father’s house, there are many rooms. The King James and New King James Versions say mansions. I want you to think about this for a second.
Where there are many rooms, there are many ____________. (Doors)
Consider the doors in your home.
What are some of the doors in your home?
How many doors in your home have locks on them?
What else do you have in your home that has locks on it that require a key?
I draw your attention to doors and keys because, in this session of our study of the whole armor of God, we were reminded to pick up our Keys. Now, I want you to consider your key ring.
How many keys are on your key ring?
How many of those keys do you use regularly?
How many keys do you have on your keyring that you have forgotten what the key unlocks?
I draw your attention to your key ring to validate the point that there are many keys.
Some of you have house keys, car keys, and even keys to your place of work. If you hold responsibilities in other arenas outside of work and home, you might even have keys to lock and unlock those other arenas also. I shared that to show you that there are many different types of keys. Let’s look at what the Bible says about this…
ACTIVATION KEYS
King Jesus has a lot of different keys that have different uses and purposes. The Bible tells us about three of them:
- The Keys of the Kingdom (Matthew 16:19)
- The Keys of Hades and Death (Revelation 1:18 and Psalm 68:20)
- and The Key to the bottomless pit (Revelation 9:1 and Revelation 20:1)
We are only going to concern ourselves with getting the keys to one of those areas, the Kingdom of Heaven, to which there are many keys (plural) because there are many rooms, and also because Jesus said to Peter that He was giving him the keys.
So, in this area we are able to receive keys from King Jesus, to bind and loose also. Notice what the Holman NKJV Study Bible says about keys in the reference notes:
The keys are a symbol of authority. The rabbis used the words bind and loose to denote decisions about what was or was not permitted. Will be bound is literally “will have been bound,” and will be loosed is literally “will have been loosed” (Gk perfect tense). Peter will permit or prohibit only what have already been permitted or prohibited in heaven. Peter was an agent of divine revelation.
There are many different keys. Each key has a specific purpose.
In the Bible, you will find several keys. We have already received one activation key as it relates to the whole suit of the Armor of God. This key has unlocked for us a deeper understanding of other Bible verses wherein the various pieces of the armor are mentioned.
Now I want to present to you another activation key, found in Psalm 18:28.
Read Psalm 18:28.
This key, as you will see in the attached video, will be used to unlock Matthew 25:1-13, which in turn will unlock yet another key verse in God’s Word.
This video, which I am sharing at this time, was recorded on January 17, 2022. I had absolutely no idea, at the time of recording, that I was going to be preparing this Dressed for Battle Course of a Spiritual Warfare Workshop. It was not even a thought that crossed my mind. It was simply a part of another study that I was doing in which I stumbled across this information. (Or did I?)
God is preparing us. You are being prepared, even now, for something that is coming that you are not aware of. Therefore, it is important that you know that there are even more activation keys found in the word of God. Find as many of them as you can in your personal studies. You don’t know just yet, why you will need them. But, as we have already learned, preparation is never lost time and King Jesus through the Holy Spirit is making this information available to us for a reason.
Called according to HIS Purpose, let us study to show ourselves approved, and get all of the Keys that King Jesus has for us.
