It’s amazing how the Lord sends a confirmation to us.
I was on Social Media and I saw a video that was meant to be a comedy but it was so fitting for us today, and an amazing way to share what taking up and putting on the whole armor of God enables us to do – STAND.
This next video was just the answer that is needed.
Psalm 107 is one of my favorite Psalms because it literally tells us that God hears our cries and will deliver us.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions. – Psalm 107:19-20

We are told that God sent His Word.
When we are going through a difficult time and someone begins to quote God’s Word to us, we need to be quiet and listen. We need to be still and wait to hear our direction from the Lord. When the Word from the Lord comes we need to listen to it and obey it. That is what 2 Chronicles 7: 14 tells us.
Read 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Lord tells us to humble ourselves (we need to remember our place and stay in that child’s place when we talk to our Heavenly Father).
The Lord tells us to pray (we need to talk to HIM about everything that is going on).
The Lord tells us to seek His face (we need to listen for His response to us, for the answer to the problem at hand, and for the direction of how we are to handle the situations we face).
Finally, the Lord tells us to turn from our wicked ways (we need to be obedient and do whatever the Lord tells us to do).
But if we respond, “I know, but…” that is not only indicative of our not having our armor on, but it is also symbolic of our hardening our heart to the Word of God which was sent to heal and deliver us.
Read Hebrews 3:8
Read Hebrews 4:7
What does it mean when God tells us something two or three times?
Go back to Hebrews starting at chapter 3 and see if it is said a 3rd time. ( Hebrews chapter 3 )
Now, here is the danger of rejecting the Word of God. We might discuss this a little later in the Dressed for Battle modules but I want to mention it now.
If you want to see why the Israelites got in trouble and could not enter into God’s rest as spoken of in Hebrews chapters 3 and 4, then read Numbers chapters 13-14.
We, today, are in the position that the Israelites were in so long ago. We do not need to let our mouths keep us from experiencing our promised land.
Let’s now enjoy this word from 1 Peter 5:6-7 and receive the healing and deliverance that able has for us through this word.
