The Importance of Girding Your Loins
One of the things that I like about using BibleGateway.com is that it allows me to compare the wording of a verse in various translations. So let’s look at what the various translations say about how and where we are to use the garment of truth.

So the garment of truth covers our waist, girding us according to the King James Versions.
It is to be buckled on like a belt according to the New International Version, and the Amplified Bible states that the band is to be wide.
