CLOSE THE DOOR: HOW AND WHY

God Almighty is the SOURCE of all wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

He tells us in Jeremiah 33:3 to ask of Him, and He will show us great and unsearchable things.

Through a study of God’s Word and by the example set by Jesus Christ, I have been taught to address the core of issues and not the surface matter.

In this training (Psalm 144:1), the Holy Spirit opened the eyes of my understanding to see opened doors around us all, what opened them, how to close them, and the need to not just close the door but lock the door and how. Then He empowered me to be able to share this with others by supplying me with everything I needed (tools, understanding, and endurance) to be able to present this message in such a way that it could be understood.

For this, I thank God Almighty, our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, for His indescribable gift. (2 Corinthians 9:10-15)

This is just the beginning of our winning season in Christ, to the glory of God our Father.

I invite you to watch this video, where I shared during a live broadcast what the Lord deposited in me about spiritual doors that we have unknowingly opened, how, and why we need to address them to close them.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to the power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen (Ephesians 3:20, 21)

  1. Jodi, thank you for posting this!
All glory be to Jesus Christ and our Father from Heaven! Thank you, Holy Spirit!
We are learning this too 🙏
Who has the authority to close the doors, Jodi?
The one who is in Christ Jesus, a born again believer, who has accepted Him as Lord and Savior and was baptised, isn’t it?
So, if a friend of mine does that, per example, she believes in Christ (I think not with all her heart, she is living in sin at the moment) but she hasn’t been baptised (“I was baptised when I was a child, I do not want to change my religion” or… whatever ” – lies of the devil or…?)…
What can happen if she does so?
Blessings for you and all your family,

    Alice

    1. Hello Alice. First, I would like to apologize for my delayed response. My phone did not notify me of this. Other issues required that I replace my phone ( which happened yesterday ) so today when I logged in I saw this. I’m deeply embarrassed over the delayed response and so I want to apologize to you again.

I didn’t quite understand your questions. But I would like to share this:

I feel your concern for your friend. I want you to keep this in mind. Yahweh loves us all so much ( John 3:16 ) that every day that we wake up, in this world, is another opportunity for us to bring our lives into alignment with His will for us. ( Matthew 7:21 )

One scripture that brings me peace about those I care for is found at 2 Timothy 2:19 which tells us that God knows those who are His. He will not leave behind anyone who belongs to Him. His desire is for no one to perish. (2 Peter 3:9)

I am suddenly reminded of 2 letters that King Jesus had John write in Revelation.

Of the 7 letters to the 7 churches, only 2 churches did not receive judgments and only received commendation – Smyrna (Revelation 2: 8-11) and Philadelphia (Revelation 3:7-13).

But of those two, Smyrna was going to have to go through trials whereas Philadelphia was going to be kept from the day of trial.

When i think of those 2 churches I see 2 things. I see the rapture. One would experience it but the other wouldn’t. Why? I am reminded of Hebrews 5:8 which tells us that “obedience is learned” (how?) “through the things suffered.” Some whom belong to God will have to suffer some things. But King Jesus said at Revelation 2:10 to not fear the things which will be suffered.

      He called it a testing.

In Malachi 3:2-3, we are told that King Jesus will sit as a refiners fire and a launderer’s soap to purify the sons of Levi like gold and silver. Here on this website i have a writing that addresses that but also on YouTube I have a series that I haven’t yet finished called The Malachi 3 studies where I go into detail about those verses.

I mention this because again I can’t help but to see the great love of Yahweh, and King Jesus (Yeshua), for us. Every day we awaken in this world is our opportunity to sit and learn more and draw closer to Yahweh through Yeshua.

Its also another opportunity for those who don’t yet know the Lord, to get to do so. This is how much we are all loved. King Jesus died for us all, even those whose criminal behaviors are deemed unforgivable (I’m thinking of news reports of the most heinous of acts). King Jesus gave His life for us all. HE is reaching for them too and tells us who have chosen Him for real to be patient – to patiently wait on the Lord, (why?) because He is still reaching to save the lost.

This is why our prayers for others are so important. The most valuable thing you can do for your friend is pray for her heart in harmony with Proverbs 21:1 that she receives a changed heart. Remember we cannot come to the Lord unless the Father draws us, and we cannot come to the Father except through the Lord.

So everyday we awaken is another opportunity for us to pray for the lost and for those who have a hardened heart and thank our Father God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior that this day we awakened in was not the last day.

God is faithful to save. King Jesus died for your friend. Today, we all awoke to another opportunity to Know Jesus either for the first time or better and deeper than we knew Him yesterday.

Do you grow a garden or some plants? When you plant a seed in dirt, it takes a while to seed the seedling 🌱 come up from the hardened dirt. It takes more time of watching it and nourishing it with water and vitamins to see it bare the elements (sun which warms but can scorch; wind which if too forceful can bend over and kill; and rain which can refreshed but also drown). As the seedling grows and overcomes even the attack of bugs and weeds, it finally matures to a place of giving fruit.

Through all of that process, you watch over your seed. You speak life to your seedling. You expect fruit every day as you wait with excitement and patience for the first sign that fruit will come – the flowers.

Have this same attitude when it comes to your friend. You see we are all plants in God’s garden. We are growing and striving to give fruit while overcoming the elements of this world. For each branch of the true Vine the struggle is different so we cannot base the journey of the next person on our successes and failures. But we can pray for the other branches.

John 15 is where King Jesus talks to us about the gardening process. Lol let me tell you it’s definitely a process. My husband and I garden. So from the POV of a gardener and from the POV of being the plant in God’s garden that needs to be pruned here and there, it’s quite the process. Lol.

It teaches me to not give up. It teaches me to be diligent. Ooowee I have a story for you about my cucumbers in my garden and my fight to get cucumbers before the worms get them. Oowee. I’ll save that for another day lol.

But what I’m saying is that the story is not over for your friend. Pray for her. Keep praying for her. And when you realize that God said yes to your prayers. Then daily say thank you to God for your friend and watch the process of God working in her life. You will see some pruning. You will see some aphids (bugs). You will see the harshness of the elements in her life. But more importantly, you will also see the hand of our Creator Yahweh working in her life. The little signs that fruit is coming. Speak life over her young tender shoots because plants are sensitive.

My husband keeps reminding me to be careful and not run the lawnmower over the sweet potato vines because they will stop growing if I did. Even if it was an accident, they would stop growing.

So be firm yet gentle and full of expectation because Romans 8:28 let’s you know that God is working in that situation regarding your friend.

      Its not over yet.

And know that I now expect to hear updates on how God is showing up and showing out in your friend’s life and drawing her more and more to Himself. Lol.

I am too excited to see the end result for her now. Why? Because I’m surrounded by plants and have gravitate to growing seeds that require years not days to grow and give fruit. An avocado takes several years and so does a mango. A pineapple takes 2 years. A citrus fruit tree takes a couple of years also.

So I’m learning to wait with expectation.

I’m learning to not give up or get weary in waiting.

      So keep me updated okay.

Again forgive me for the delayed response and thank you so much for reaching out to me. That encourages me too.

      Be blessed.

How are you enjoying this study so far?
